My husband and I own and operate a farm in rural Waikato, New Zealand, where I have set up and established my glass studio and gallery.
Since 2004, Heather has studied in glass art; attending workshops, learning from glass masters and commencing her own artistic practice working in glass.
It was the sensual and visual beauty of glass, the refracted light and the inviting illusions which truly captured her passion and imagination to work with such a challenging medium.
Inspiration for her glass work often relates to environmental issues, relationships with family and friends or capturing moments in time of special significance.
Experimenting with colour placement, reactions and glass flow encourage Heather's work to constantly evolve and develop with each new artwork. She continues to explore and utilise the diverse possibilities of glass colours and processes at her home studio in New Zealand.
